Thanks for this post. This makes me wish I lived in a large enough metro area to support organizing photowalks. If I were on the other side of the pond I’d definitely attend one of your walks.
I organised a few walks when I was in London for 3 months in 2022, using MeetUp (which has since become too expensive).
It was a bit of a challenge for someone who didn't really know the city, but after a disastrous first attempt (I have the wrong starting point!) the rest went really well.
And exactly as in your post .. my experience is that's it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with people that share your passion.
Yes, it can be difficult organising a walk if you don't know the city that well. We are lucky that people do put walks on in different cities in the Uk, so we get the chance to visit them.

I'm lucky being in London that the transport links to places like Oxford & Cambridge, give us a chance to explore a wider area.
