The last Sunday in April is worldwide pinhole day.
This year I went along on a photowalk in west London taking in the Grand Union Canal and Kensal Green cemetery.
I didn't take any images along the canal but I do have a thing for old cemeteries.
Kensal Green was one of the first cemeteries to be built in London inspired by the famous Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.
It is also the largest (72 acres) of what came to be known as the magnificent seven.
This is the fifth of the seven that I have visited and photographed in, although is was a short visit, I will definitely be going back.
I was shooting with my Reality So Subtle 24mm 6x6 pinhole camera, this is a very wide camera about 13mm equivalent in 35mm and even though I have “GET CLOSER” on the camera, I still find I'm not always close enough.
There are a lot of notables buried in Kensal Green from the Brunel family, Charles Bandage and Frederick Scott Archer.
All images shot on Ilford Delta 400 with a red filter.
Nice atmospheric photos Cuz, I like old cemetery’s too maybe it’s a weird family thing!! John.
72 acres! No wonder we got lost. Great photos.
Need to go back for a whole day there
